The vice-president of the European Parliament was arrested

Greek Socialist MEP Eva Kaili, one of the European Parliament’s 14 vice-presidents, was brought in for questioning in Brussels on Friday night in connection with an investigation into suspected corruption involving a “Gulf country”.

Sources from the European Parliament told Euronews that the offices of three MEPs: Kaili and the Belgian members of the S&D group, Maria Arena and Marc Tarabella, have been sealed by the Belgian police.
