Gerard Pique, the former Spanish national team stopper, retired from football last night, playing his last match for Barcelona after a decade-long era in which he left a strong mark on the Catalans’ defense.
Last night Pique tearfully said goodbye to the fans of the Catalan pride, telling them that this departure is not goodbye, because he was born in Barcelona and plans to return.
