According to UEFA, the joint candidacy of Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) together with the Republic of Ireland is only for the European Championship in 2028, while Italy has submitted its candidacy exclusively for Euro 2032.

The other two candidates are Russia and Turkey, which have expressed a desire to host one of the next two European Championships, be it in 2028 or 2032. Russia has run for the continental championships despite current sanctions that have excluded clubs and national teams from world and European events.

Germany will host the next Euro 2024, after winning the race with Turkey to host the continental championship, the first major since the 2006 World Cup.

UEFA will select the hosts for the next two European Championships in September next year.
