The Russian tennis players defeated Croatia 2-0 in the Davis Cup final, after the two singles matches that were played in Spain.

Russia became the fourth country to win the competition in both competitions in the same year, after Russian tennis players previously won the Fed Cup.

For Russia this was the third Davis Cup title.
