A tourist tax is being introduced in Turkey from today, that is, two percent will be charged for accommodation in hotels, tourist villages, motels, boarding houses, as well as tourist tours from travel agencies.

Tourist tax will not be paid by representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations that have diplomatic status.

The decision on the tourist tax was made in 2019, but the implementation of the decision was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
