he owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, has told employees that they must fully commit to the new “hardcore” version of Twitter or layoffs will fly, writes the Independent.

Employees reportedly received an email from the firm saying the company’s business policy would become “extremely onerous” in the future.

“This will mean long working hours with high intensity. Only exceptional performance will receive a passing grade,” the email stated.

Employees had to click “YES” on a link committing to the “new Twitter” and had until Thursday to make a decision.

Otherwise, they will be fired with  three months’ salary.

Musk’s tenure since buying Twitter has been very turbulent. First he dissolved the entire executive board, and a few days later he fired half of the workers.
