Israel will build a large museum in honor of Albert Einstein

The new building will appear within the Givat Ram University campus in Jerusalem.

The government has pledged approximately €6.1 million to fund the museum and an additional €12.2 million to the university. Albert Einstein is one of the founders of the Hebrew University. He is considered one of the greatest theoretical physicists of all time. After his death, he left about 82,000 manuscripts, letters, photographs, documents and other valuable items to the University. He died in 1955 at the age of 76.

Museum curator Ronnie Gross proudly points out that this is the largest collection of Einstein papers in the world.
