A gas leak as a result of possible sabotage discovered yesterday on the Nord Stream gas pipelines has caused confusion in energy markets and raised security concerns.

Norway is currently Europe’s largest gas supplier and the world’s leading oil supplier. There are more than 90 offshore gas and oil fields, most of which are connected by a network of gas pipelines that stretches for about 9,000 kilometers.
