The first results of the referendum in Zaporizhia have arrived.
On the first day of the referendum in the Zaporozhye region, 93 percent of those who participated in the vote decided to join the region to the Russian Federation.
On the first day of the referendum, September 23, 500 residents voted, 93 percent of them decided to join the Zaporozhye region to Russia, and 7 percent were for the region to remain part of Ukraine, the institute said.
In the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DPR, LPR) and in the Russian-controlled regions of Kherson and Zaporozhye, referendums on joining Russia began on September 23 and will last until September 27.
