One of the most expensive pizzas in the world costs more than 12,000 euros and is made in Italy.
Namely, the pizza is called “Louis XIII”, and the recipe was “designed” by chef Renato Viola. It can be ordered by selected guests in the seaside town of Salerno.
The diameter of the pizza is 20 centimeters, and it is made from special ingredients. The dough is made from organic Arabica flour sprinkled with pink salt from the Murray River, Australia’s longest river. It takes 72 hours to make this pizza.
Three types of caviar are added to the pizza: Oscietra Royal Prestige, Kaspia Oscietra Royal Classic from the Iranian coast, Kaspia Beluga and seven types of cheese. Of course, there are additional ingredients.
“The most expensive ingredients are the lobsters that are covered in Louis XIII cognac, which is otherwise hard to find on the market,” says Violta.
Krug Clos du Mesnil champagne and Carta Real Sanches Romate Finos brandy are served with Louis XIII.
